Ian has had a life long interest in sculpture. However, it was his introduction to the French sculptor and philosopher Marc Vinciguerra who's advice and encouragement steered him to developing his own work, and becoming a full time sculptor.

 

In 2015 Ian finally stepped aside from his career as a producer/director in the television industry.  For 40 years he has produced, executive produced and directed hundreds of hours of TV drama series, TV movies, and mini-series in England, America and around the world. He has been nominated for a British Academy Award (BAFTA) for the critically acclaimed mini-series 'Widows', and an American Television Academy (EMMY) nomination for the equally successful '24'.

There is little doubt that Ian's commitment to storytelling and imagery in his TV career has influenced his development as a sculptor.

He works out of his studio in Venice, California.
